Why Whiskey Tales?

Apparently I really like my whiskey and I like to talk about it… a lot

This isn’t just another whiskey review site.  If you want to know what rating someone gave the latest casking of Macallan or Makers Mark, there’s a ton of sites where you can get that information from.  I will review whiskies on this site and in the reviews I might mention ratings from time to time but that’s not my focus.

What I challenge myself to do is to give you a story or in essence a “tale to tell” about the whiskies I have encountered throughout my life.  People remember where they were and what they were doing when they first heard a special song on the radio or when they heard a specific news alert. This is similar to when I try a special scotch or bourbon for the first time, or maybe the pleasure I get from helping someone else experience whiskey for the first time.  Maybe I will talk about adventures to whiskey distilleries or adventures involving drinking whiskey. Heck, maybe it’s just a whiskey-induced tale.

Only time will tell what whiskey tales will become!
