Wild Turkey Deal Not To Miss

What’s Wrong With This Picture?

Up here in Washington State we are heavily taxed on our liquor (20.5% plus a $3.85/ltr bottle charge – this is a long story that I don’t want to go into a rant about).  This means I am constantly looking for the best deal possible on bottles of whiskey.  Well here is one that you can’t ignore.

Right now you can grab a 1.75 Ltr bottle of Wild Turkey 101 for about $24 (plus tax) at both Costco and Total Wine & More, which is about $15-20 less than normal and about $8 cheaper than the 1 Ltr bottle.  This is due to the fact that Costco has a great deal on the large bottles (they don’t sell the smaller bottles) and Total Wine & More tries to match Costco prices to stay as the low price leader in the area.  This is definitely a low margin item for the stores and a bonus for those who find it.

Haven’t had Wild Turkey 101 before?

This is a great tasting bourbon for those on a budget, not to mention potent being a 101 proof spirit. It’s got a bit of a alcohol kick up front (not one to drink neat), but this can be easily be tamed with a few ice cubes then the tastiness of this lively spirit starts to come out.  I haven’t used WT 101 as a mixer whiskey yet but I would gather that this would not be its strength.
